Process

Analyze information, evaluate ideas, organize and synthesize findings.
Analyze Information

How is an argument organized?

How have others written and discussed your topic? How have they come to their conclusions?

Do you agree or disagree? Why?

Is your research taking you in an unexpected direction?

Organize and Synthesize Findings

How will you be able to show how your new knowledge is constructed?

How will you be able to show the evolution of your ideas from initial ideas to careful reflection?

How will you want to begin sorting your information and knowledge to present it to your audience?

Evaluate Ideas

What critical thinking skills and creative thinking skills help you evaluate ideas the information?

How will you develop and use criteria to evaluate ideas?

What notes will you take?

Don't write down everything! Write down the things that help you answer your research questions.

Will you keep your notes electronically? (Try Easybib through your google docs add-ons)

Will you use sticky notes in books or print materials?

Will you use a hi-liter to mark important passages?

Remember to use all information ethically by citing your sources and giving credit for other people's ideas words and images.
